County Manager jeff Shroll and Deputy County Managers Kelley Collier and Angelo Fernandez will visit on a rotating basis, and at least one elected official, depart- ment director or other staff member will participate on the final Friday of the month, Members of the Eagie County Board of Commissioners will also join on select Fridays. Community Ski and Ride Days kick off Dec. 13 Local government officials including Eagle County Commissioners are inviting skiers and riders to join them for some runs on Vail Mountain on Friday, Dec. 13. Additional monthly dates and locations will be announced. Participants are asked to gather at the base of Gondola One in Vail Village at 10 am.; no RSVPS are needed. Participants must assume responsibility for their own equipment, lift ticket and lunch. An intermediate ability level is advised. Snow plowing information from Eagle and Pitkin counties With great snow comes great responsibility. Snow removal crews are primed and ready to go for the 2019/20 winter season. To ensure efficient snow removal operations, residents are asked to review updated information available on the Road and Bridge section of the Eagle County website (it's also accessible from the homepage). For more information, contact Eagle County Road & Bridge at 970-328-3540 or Pitkin County Public Works at 970-920-5390. Cottonwood Pass closed for the season Cottonwood Pass in Eagle County is now closed for the remainder of the winter season from mile marker 2.5 in Gypsum to mile marker 12.5. The road will reopen in April 2020 or when conditions allow. An announcement will be made when Cottonwood Pass is set to reopen.
